Suicide is a lethal global issue categorized under Mental illness. As per World Health Organization statistics every 40 second a person is perpetrating towards suicide.
This Raises an Alarming Question Our Society.
Why People Are Feeling Scared And Unnerve to Speak About Their Mental Health?
Is There Is Fear Of Acceptance From Society And Family?
Why People Choose loneliness And thoughts To Deluge Their Entire Mental Wellness? Do They Fear of getting Judged By Society?
Have People Established A Believe System That Society Will Be too Dismissive To Understand Their Emotional Issue?
Will Family and Society Take a Sneering And Mockery Attitude towards Their Problem?
There was a story of young teenager girl who choose to end her life because she was cyber bullied. She was not able to communicate her mental state to her parents. Parents ignored all symptoms of mental wellbeing such as short tempered behavior, unwillingness to go to school, refraining from being social and isolation.
This is not the only example of children and teenager committing suicide but WHO statics says only 1 in 10 kids communicate about their problems to parents. Cyber bullying is just one example but their are many other reason such as comparison, pressure form family and society, abuse and getting bullied at education institution which are contributing towards depression. But what is more unfortunate is that they are perplexed about communicating there wrecked state of mind to their parents and teacher. They fear of getting judged, scolded and sneered from elders.
We need to adapt to openness towards mental health issue, build confidence and sense of trust towards people suffering from mental health issue. After all there is saying:
” ITS OK! NOT TO BE OK”
Second unfortunate story is of a young banker who shot himself on his head after meeting his priest on church. He was married, successful and well respected in society and perhaps nobody were able to identify the signs. Many of us will blame the person to be selfish, not thinking about his family and children but the truth is mental illness such as depression, anxiety, stress and fear are like parasite which takes control over your entire brain and your thought process.
Why Do People Give Up on Life and Want to Die

The person who completes suicide, dies once. Those left behind die a thousand deaths, trying to relive those terrible moments and understand… why?
Clark
